Hair today, gone tomorrow

Some time over the winter break, Emilio first reported that he was thinking about cutting his hair. Friday, when he came home, he reported that he had told his friends he was going to get it cut over the long weekend. At first, he was planning to get some kind of half-way cut, but I convinced him to go the whole way--something I used to do when I had flowing locks.

Getting Better

After a week of high temperatures and low energy levels that kept him home from school, Emi enjoyed the first family outing we've had in more than a week. He especially liked the fact that we were letting Nina and Pablo "run wild."

The photo at left illustrates the great delight Emilio feels when one of his siblings "goes off the reservation" or engages in what he perceives to be some sort of illicit behavior. The farther Pablo got away from us, the more excited Emilio got. Then he chased after him.
