Free Ride

Emilio's first visit to the barber shop--Snippets on Diversey--was short and sweet. He chose to ride in the red car barber chair. We weren't ready to cut his prolific curls and the barber didn't charge us for cutting his bangs (we gave her a tip, though).

House Call

Glen, Renee, Bryce and Melanie drove up for the day from Indiana to meet Emilio for the first time and give him a doctor's kit and a musical caterpillar. We later had lunch at the Dixie Kitchen in Evanston.

New Balance Meets Newer Balance

Emilio and I both wear New Balance tennis shoes. Seems like the industry calls this kind of footwear "athletic shoes," or "running shoes," when they're more specific, and others call them "sneakers," but they will always be "tennis shoes" to me even if they're not made for tennis.
