On Monday morning, Emilio came into the kitchen with the news that he had written a song. It's about Tennessee. We finally managed to record it on Wednesday after school. Here it is (the latest version, anyway; it evolves):

Fifty States, Fifty Plates

Emi's favorite spot on the East Central campus is the children's section of the Linscheid Library, whose collection includes fifty books on the fifty states. Each of those books includes a dessert recipe, and Emi and his mother have just begun a geographical/culinary tour of those recipes with Texas pecan pie. For the results, see below:
